This project marks the 130th anniversary of László Moholy‑Nagy, one of the most influential figures of the 20th century and a defining voice of the Bauhaus. His experimental approach to technology, education, and visual language continues to shape contemporary design culture.
We created a complex spatial installation that celebrates Moholy‑Nagy’s legacy and its contemporary presence in MOME’s educational methodology. The exhibit presents 48 recent master’s diploma projects, arranged in a physical matrix inspired by the Bauhaus course diagram - later reinterpreted by Moholy‑Nagy himself.

The centrepiece is a sculptural display that maps the intersections of four major research areas and twelve degree programmes. Each project is represented by a stylised physical object that distills its core concept. These artefacts unfold in thematic layers, investigating relationships between people and the planet, practices of care, and ways of connecting the past with a rapidly transforming future.
A customised interactive interface allows visitors to explore the matrix, activating visual translations inspired by Moholy‑Nagy’s photograms. The installation is complemented by an online platform where the full showcase - visuals, texts, and thematic structures - is accessible.
