Flowlands, 2025

An interactive relief-like environment reacting to visitor presence through dynamically evolving geometric structures.

Flowlands is an interactive installation welcoming visitors in the lobby of CODE (Center of Digital Experiences) in Veszprém, Hungary.

The dynamic relief is composed of block-like geometric elements that continuously grow, shrink, and reorganize as the scene evolves. Though simple on their own, these elements belong to a larger hierarchical structure, allowing them to move together organically and create the impression of a living, breathing entity.

The environment reacts to human presence in real time: the structure tracks visitors in proximity, attempting to mirror or reproduce their silhouettes as they move through the space.

The assembly logic is driven by a recursive subdivision algorithm—the complex is generated by repeatedly splitting each existing segment into two, with controlled randomness shaping the emerging formations.
