MS Mester, 2025

Video animations created for the Museum of Fine Arts to help visitors understand the curatorial concept and the formal connections between the works attributed to Master MS.

MS Mester features a series of video animations created for the exhibition Master MS and His Age at the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest. The animations support visitors in understanding the curatorial concept, guiding them through the stylistic relationships, motifs, and visual details that define the work of Master MS.

The project highlights how close observation and comparison—of facial types, gestures, drapery folds, and recurring motifs—can help identify the hand of the painter responsible for the celebrated Banská Štiavnica high altar. The videos place previously known works and newly attributed pieces side by side, revealing subtle but significant formal connections.

By engaging with these comparisons and revisiting the artworks in the exhibition, visitors gain new perspectives, noticing details they may have previously overlooked and making discoveries of their own.
